Pomene
is a new Lodge located 600km north of Maputo.
Here, you will not only find a haven from both
phone and fax, but a lodge that offers an action
adventure for the serious enthusiast. Sheltered
by the peninsular that once played host to the
exclusively wealthy, Pomene Bay guarantees irresistible
fishing in virgin waters.
Access
The Lodge is a self-drive 4X4 adventure. The
route follows Route 1, a tarred road with
fuel every 250km. The turnoff is 10km North
of Massinga, the last 50km being off road.
This route is clearly sign posted.
Barraccas (a 20sq metre thatched
umbrella with a plug point and a light)
6 bed Chalets
There are two bedrooms, with the remaining
beds in the lounge area. The kitchen is fully
equipped with cutlery, crockery, 2 plate gas
cooker and freezer.Bedding and mosquito nets
are supplied. Each chalet has a separate toilet
and shower with hot and cold running water.
8 bed Chalet
There are 3 bedrooms, with two double beds
and four single beds. The kitchen is fully
equipped with cutlery, crockery, 2 plates
gas cooker and freezer. Bedding and mosquito
nets are supplied. Each chalet has a separate
toilet and shower with hot and cold running
water.
Cabin (Sleeps 4)
The cabin has 2 single beds. The kitchen is
fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, 2 plate
gas cooker and freezer. Bedding and mosquito
nets are supplied. Each chalet has a separate
toilet and shower with hot and cold running
water.
Cabin (Sleeps 3)
The cabin has 2 single beds. The kitchen is
fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, 2 plate
gas cooker and freezer, bedding and mosquito
nets are supplied. Each chalet has a separate
toilet and shower with hot and cold running
water.
Dive Cabins (Sleeps 2)
The dive cabins are simple huts on the beach
with 2 beds and mosquito nets. NO BEDDING
IS PROVIDED.
There is a communal ablution block & communal
kitchen with a 2plate gas cooker, cutlery,
crokery.
The Den
4 x 1 roomed chalets each with en-suite shower
and toilet/ communal kitchen.
Maximum 2 people in the room.
