Barra lodge is in one of the most picturesque areas of Mozambique with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Situated 485Km north of Maputo. Access by road is a pleasant drive on tarred surface which are generally in a good condition and suitable for the passage of a normal vehicle. However, the last 7Km leading to the lodge are sand road. One may also fly to the well-serviced airport with tar runways at Inhambane. The airport is a 25Km drive through coconut groves from Barra lodge.

Accommodation
Self-catering cottages, each cottage has its own lounge, dinning room, patio and three bedrooms, 3rd. room, consists of 2 bunk beds
Open plan kitchen, with gas cooker, fridge and crockery + cutlery for 6 persons
1 bathroom with a shower, loo and basin

Casitas
Traditional casitas made of thatch, brick and reeds, and fitted with two beds, a shower and toilet en-suite. All casitas have sea view and are stones throw from the beach.

Self-catering cottages: Sleeps 6 people. (2 bedrooms- 4 people plus 2 in the living room.) 1 shower, basin, toilet and kitchen equipped for 6 people.).

Electricity
Is generated at sunrise and during the evening for ten hours a day. The cottages and chalets have standard 3-ponit 220V RAS plug points in all rooms.

A very popular meeting point, the beach bar overlooks the sea and has its own sun deck
